Week 4

Week 4

So this week has been very busy, but not in terms of uni, as we have had pretty much the whole week off (apart from two hours on Monday). On Monday we had Italian from 12-2 so we had a lazy morning and then went to class - after that we went to the gym and then spent the evening doing bits of work, and I facetimed my family which was really nice.

On Tuesday we didn't have any classes so we went to campo grande which is the big park - we both took our books and read whilst sitting by the fountain and the pond - we went to 10y10 three times that day (I know it sounds bad but we reallyyyy like it there) and I found out the waiter's real name, which is David, but in Spanish it's pronounced Daveeeeeed. We were trying to pluck up the courage to ask him but then he asked me my name so the opportunity arised, haha!

On Wednesday we didn't go to our 9am class as neither of us had slept very well so we went to the gym instead and went for a juice at 10y10. We have been to the gym 5 times this week overall! We were watching friends in the evening when our Flatmate told us that all the supermarkets would be shut the next day because of the bank holiday! So we got out of our pyjamas and went to the supermarket to get some food. We had presumed everywhere would be open as normal like in England, maybe with reduced hours, but nothing was open at all! So on Thursday we went for a long bike ride, where we found a man made beach! We cycled for ages, and got completely lost and ended up dragging the bikes up some steps to get back on track! In the evening we met Callum at 10y10 for a drink, and then went for dinner at the Bistro, a really nice restaurant in the centre of Valladolid.

On Friday we decided to go to Leon on the train. It was about an hour and a quarter away, in the North of Spain, although it was still 30 degrees! It was really nice to go and see a new place, and we did have a lovely day. We didn't actually do a lot, we wandered around and went for lunch etc. There was a lovely building that looked like a princess castle, so I had to take a picture, haha! We saw the cathedral which we were told is really famous - there were police outside though and a VIP (we don't know who it was)! That evening we went to the gym and then had a chilled night in as we were all really tired from walking around in the heat all day!

This weekend has also been quite quiet - we have been to the gym twice and gone for a walk etc, so we haven't done much, but it has been nice to relax before getting back to uni tomorrow for a full on week of lectures!

Thank you for reading!
